Funeral Meals

Parishioners prepare desserts and host a catered luncheon in the parish hall for for family members of parishioners being buried from St. Norbert.

Room at the Inn

St. Norbert hosts six to ten homeless guests on the third Sunday of each month. Volunteers transport the guests from the Room at the Inn headquarters to the parish hall. We serve them dinner, provide activities for the children, provide them with sleeping accommodations and serve them breakfast the next morning before we transport them back. St. Vincent de Paul Society:

The St. Vincent de Paul Society provides temporary emergency financial assistance for gas and electric bills to families who reside within our parish boundaries. A collection is taken at Mass on the 5th Sunday of the month to fund this. Email: stvincent@saintnorbert.com.

Blood Drive

Several times a year blood drives are held at our parish, providing us a convenient way to be blood donors. Volunteers help with registration, canteen, and of course give blood. Email: blooddrive@saintnorbert.com.

Karen House:

Karen House is a Catholic Worker shelter in the City of St. Louis. Sandwiches are needed to feed the constant stream of people who knock on thier door asking for food. Sandwiches are made at home, individually bagged, and stored in the freezer at the Rectory. Volunteers drive the sandwiches to Karen House.

If you can help, take a loaf of bread and put lunchmeat (cheese optional) between two slices of bread (NO CONDIMENTS). Put the sandwiches into plastic bags, then back into the plastic bread wrapper. Take the sandwiches to the freezers in the garage near the rectory. The rectory staff can give the garage door entry code.

St. Patrick Center Casserole Collection:

St. Patrick Center provides assistance to area poor and homeless. Casseroles are provided by parish members and taken to the center each month.  Cathy W. picks up the casseroles on the third Wednesday of the month between 7:00 AM and 8:00 AM.
